TAMPA, FL – It’s the news Tampa Bay country music fans have been waiting to hear. Country megastar Luke Bryan is bringing his "What Makes You Country" tour XL to Raymond James Stadium on Saturday, June 23.
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 16, at LiveNation.com.
Raymond James Stadium will be the fourth stop on Bryan’s 13-stadium tour, which will include performances by special guests Sam Hunt, Jon Pardi and Morgan Wallen.
"Not to diminish any of the artists that I had ever worked with in the past," Bryan said during a press conference, "but this is certainly one of the strongest lineups that I have ever been part of, and I’m so honored to have these artists that are coming out."
Bryan, the newest judge on "American Idol," which launched its new season March 11, released his sixth studio album, "What Makes You Country," in December via Capitol Records Nashville.
What Makes You Country debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with 108,000 album-equivalent units, of which 99,000 were pure album sales, giving Bryan his fourth U.S. No. 1 album. The album, which includes the single, "Light it Up," has sold 179,500 copies in the U.S. as of January .
Pardi said he was thrilled to be included in the tour lineup.
"Luke just sent me a text. It was just, ‘Man, you wanna go on tour?’ I was like, ‘Yeah,’" Pardi said in an interview with CMT. "Everybody’s really excited. Because me and Luke, we go way back. We’re buddies. I met Luke in 2011, when we were playing little 1,000-1,500 seat theaters."
